Mike Lieberman


Michael Lieberman is an experienced appellate litigator, brief writer, and legal strategist.  Prior to joining Fairmark, Michael practiced law at Bancroft PLLC and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he specialized in Supreme Court and appellate litigation.  Michael has developed winning strategies and written successful briefs in a wide array of cases at every level of the federal court system and in multiple state courts.  His matters have involved a wide range of substantive issues, including antitrust, bankruptcy, civil rights, class actions, constitutional law, criminal law, employment law, immigration law, international law, products liability, and sovereign immunity.

Michael also previously served as an Attorney-Adviser in the Office of the Legal Adviser at the U.S. Department of State. In that role, Michael provided advice on a range of domestic and international legal issues arising in the course of the Department’s work.

Michael graduated magna cum laude from Harvard Law School and received his bachelor’s degree with highest distinction from the University of California, Berkeley.  After law school, Michael served as a law clerk to the Honorable Jennifer W. Elrod of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and the Honorable Ellen Lipton Hollander of the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
