Tamar Katz
Tamar Katz brings her expertise in finance, healthcare, and antitrust law to her role at Fairmark.
Prior to Fairmark, Tamar was an Attorney Advisor in the Office of Policy at the Federal Trade Commission, where she specialized in the intersection of private equity and competition law. Her role included identifying economic sectors where private equity investment may have harmed competition and leading internal assessments of the law enforcement and policy-making tools available to the Commission, to address anticompetitive conduct and transactions. She has also collaborated extensively with economists and legal scholars to analyze the impact of private equity investment in healthcare markets. Earlier in her career, Tamar worked as an investment banker in Citi's Real Estate Division.
Tamar graduated with honors from Columbia Law School and earned both a Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, and a Bachelor of Business Administration, summa cum laude, from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
She is licensed to practice law in Washington, DC.
