Yinka Onayemi
Yinka Onayemi is a strategic litigator with experience in high-stakes commercial disputes and white-collar matters. He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in complex litigation and provided counsel to individuals and corporations facing investigations by the Department of Justice (DOJ), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Before joining Fairmark, Yinka practiced at Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, an Am Law 100 firm, where he focused on internal investigations and government probes into fraud, corruption, and regulatory compliance.
While in law school, Yinka externed with the Department of Justice's Antitrust Division, working on investigations and policy initiatives aimed at promoting competitive markets. He also served as a summer associate with the Public International Law & Policy Group (PILPG), where he focused on post-conflict legal reforms internationally.
He earned his J.D. from Georgetown Law, his Masters in Law from L'Institut d'études politiques de Paris (Sciences Po - Paris), and his B.A. in Economics from Colby College in 2016.
Yinka is a member of the New York bar and serves on the New York City Bar Committee for African Affairs.
